Coche Ride Policies & Terms of Service

1. Booking Confirmation

  • All bookings are subject to confirmation after a 50% deposit is made.
  • The remaining balance must be settled before the truck departs from the pick-up location.

2. Delivery Timing & Delays

  • Estimated delivery times are provided upon booking but may be subject to delays due to traffic, road conditions, or unforeseen circumstances.
  • Coche will not be liable for any losses or penalties resulting from delays caused by factors beyond our control (e.g., traffic, roadblocks, or accidents).
  • Waiting time exceeding 30 minutes at the loading or unloading site will incur an additional hourly charge, charged in 30-minute increments.

3. Mileage & Route Restrictions

  • Each trip covers a specified distance within Lagos or outside Lagos, as agreed during booking. Excess mileage beyond the agreed limit will be charged per kilometer.
  • Coche reserves the right to avoid certain routes deemed unsafe, and clients will be informed of alternative routes.

4. Loading & Offloading Responsibility

  • Coche provides skilled handymen loaders to assist with loading and offloading at an additional cost, as stated in the invoice. However, clients are responsible for supervising the handling of fragile or sensitive items.
  • Coche will not be liable for damages caused by improper packaging, inadequate labeling, or mishandling by third-party staff.

5. Handling Fragile or Heavy Items

  • For items that require special handling (e.g., glass, electronics, or oversized decor), the client must notify Coche during booking to ensure appropriate measures are taken.
  • Coche will not be responsible for damages caused by failure to inform us of the nature of the items or the weight exceeding the truck’s capacity.

6. Outside Lagos Movements

  • For logistics movements outside Lagos, additional mileage charges apply. Accommodation and meal allowances for drivers and handymen may also apply and will be included in the invoice.
  • The client is responsible for obtaining necessary travel permits, if applicable, for interstate movements. Any delays caused by lack of permits will incur additional charges.

7. Truck Capacity & Weight Limits

  • Each truck has a maximum weight capacity, which must not be exceeded. The client is responsible for ensuring the load matches the booked truck’s capacity. Overloading may result in refusal of service or additional costs for arranging a larger truck.
  • Trucks are equipped with scales to monitor weight, and any discrepancies between declared and actual weight will result in a price adjustment.

8. Force Majeure

  • Coche shall not be liable for any failure to provide the services detailed in this invoice due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, road closures, or government restrictions.

9. Liability & Insurance

  • Coche’s vehicles are insured; however, insurance coverage does not extend to the client’s goods. Clients are advised to ensure their goods are adequately insured before transportation.
  • Coche will not be held liable for any loss or damage to items during transit unless proven to be due to negligence on our part.

10. Amendments & Cancellations

  • Changes to the logistics schedule or destination must be communicated at least 24 hours before the agreed start time. Changes made less than 24 hours before the scheduled movement may attract additional fees.
  • In the event of a cancellation after full payment has been made, only 50% of the payment will be refundable if booking is canceled within the 24-hour window. For cancelations less than 24 hours, there shall be no refund.
  • In the event of a cancellation when full payment has not been made, the deposit payment will be transferred to the client’s next booking with Coche.

11. Refund Policy

At Coche Ride Logistics, we understand that plans can change, and negotiations may evolve in unexpected ways. We recognize that life and business circumstances can sometimes require adjustments to previously agreed services. While we strive to be flexible and understanding, we also maintain clear guidelines to ensure a fair and consistent approach to refunds.

Refund Process

  • Request Window: If you wish to request a refund for services rendered by Coche Ride Logistics, please submit your request within 30-40 days of the original service date. Refunds requested outside this time frame may not be eligible for processing.
  • Eligibility for Refund: Refunds are generally considered in situations where services have been overcharged, not rendered as per the agreed terms, or in cases of unavoidable cancellations that fall within the company’s cancellation policy. Requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
  • Processing Time: Once a refund request is received, it may take between 30 to 40 days to process and complete. This time frame allows us to verify details, ensure all conditions are met, and complete the necessary internal procedures. Please be patient during this process, and feel free to reach out to our customer service team for updates.
  • Refund Method: Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the booking. If the payment was made via bank transfer, credit/debit card, or another online payment method, the refund will be processed accordingly.
  • Non-Refundable Charges: Please note that certain charges, such as administrative fees, late cancellation penalties, or non-refundable service fees, may not be eligible for a refund. These will be clearly communicated to you at the time of booking or during the negotiation process.
